I am a qualified Cytech cycle technician, National Standards Cycle Instructor, British Cycling Coach and Mountain Bike Trail Leader and I have BSc (hons) Pharmacology degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (secondary science).

I recently retired from teaching science in secondary schools after 17 years.  The last 4 years of my career I worked with disaffected students in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) where I ran an alternative education programme using my passion for cycling as the vehicle to engage students both in and outside of the classroom.  I was responsible for delivering both GCSE science and a City and Guilds Cycle Maintenance and Repair Qualification.

I've have always been an enthusiastic cyclist and have completed many UK and European cycle tours with friends and family.
