Please note that there is a cleaning charge of £20 for bikes that are excessively soiled with mud and or oil.

 

 

Inspection report only - £25 choose this option if you do not want work carried out but require a detailed report on the condition of your bike and the likely cost of repair.

 

Quick Service - (including ebikes) - £50 choose this if your bike is in good condition and has very little use since the last service.

Minor Service – (including ebikes) - £70 choose this service if you bike has been well maintained over the last 6 months.

 

Bike cleaned.

Brakes – inspect, lubricate, adjust

Drive chain – degrease, inspect, lubricate.

Gears – degrease front and rear derailleurs, inspect, reset gear indexing. 

Headset checked for wear and tightened to correct torque.

Bottom Bracket checked for wear and tightened to correct torque.

Pedal cranks checked for wear and tightened to correct torque.

You will receive a detailed report on the condition of your bike together with advice to help you maintain it and any components that may need replacing in the future are identified.

 

Major Service – (including ebikes) - £90 choose this service if you bike has not been well maintained over the last 6 months or it hasn't been serviced for some time.

All minor service items plus

Brakes - inner cables replaced (if required) and lubricated – front and rear. Outer cables inspected and replaced (if required). Blocks degreased and deglazed (if required). Disc brake pads and discs checked for wear and damage.

Gears - inner cables replaced (if required) and lubricated – front and rear.  Outer cables inspected and replaced (if required).  Front derailleur height and correct orientation checked with chain alignment and adjusted if required.  Front and rear derailleur limit stops checked and reset if required.

Wheels – rims inspected and degreased and deglazed, spokes checked for tightness.  Wheels trued (Straightened) where necessary, Hubs inspected for wear, cones adjusted if required and bearings lubricated.

Ebike electrical connections/plugs cleaned and greased.

 

Childrens Bike Service - less than 24 inch wheel

Single speed – £20, Geared – £45 (parts not included)

 

Bike cleaned.

Brakes – inspect, lubricate, adjust

Drive chain – degrease inspect, lubricate.

Gears – degrease front and rear derailleurs, inspect, reset gear indexing. 

Headset checked for wear and tightened to correct torque.

Bottom Bracket checked for wear and tightened to correct torque.

Pedal cranks checked for wear and tightened to correct torque.

Wheels – rims inspected and spokes checked for tightness.

Hubs inspected for wear, cones adjusted if required and bearings lubricated.

 

 Please note - price quoted is for bikes with flat handlebars and externally routed cables.  Bikes with internal cabling and or drop handlebars may incur an additional charge depending on the complexity of the cable threading.

BOTTOM BRACKET REPLACEMENT - £25 - £40 depending on difficulty of removal, occasionally extra time is required if thread is seized.

Additional Services are available for 'off menu' items and are charged at an hourly rate of £30 per hour.  Minimum charge is half hour - £15.

 

Once your bike has been repaired please arrange for its return or collection within 24 hours.  I have a very small workshop and if bikes aren't collected promptly this impacts on my ability to engage in the next repair - please don't force me to turn work away.
